Mara Entertainment was born during Covid in 2020, when the world was in turmoil, and due for my passion of music and entertaining, being a dj was something I always wanted to do.
How did I come up with Mara?
I wanted to keep it as a family feel and keep my children with me in my heart, so MA is Matthew and RA is Rachael , I used the first two letters from their names.
I want give a big thank you to those who have helped and supported me on my journey. A big thank you to my lovely wife who has supported me along the way and my two children Rachael & Matthew, I love you loads.
I want to give a big thank you to Rob Allen who has recently retired from DJing after 16-years. Rob along with his son Kev mentored me from the very start and I will never forget the many hours we have talked about our love for the art.
Mara's ethos is to be passionate about the music, be passionate about the people I play for and to be unique.

Pre - Consultations
At Mara Entertainment, every new booking we take has a free pre-consultation whether via telephone call, text, Teams or in person over a coffee. Its important for us to find out what your requirements are for your special occasion. I want to make sure that your evening runs smooth and you leave with such great memories of the night.
No hidden extras
Like some DJ's who have hidden extras, such as paying for lighting or the a conultation, at Mara we don't, the price you receive is the price you get. We ask for a booking fee and if you want us to stay after the time, then an extra payment needs to be paid before the party begins. Full details on the Ts and Cs provided.
Going the extra mile
When you book with Mara Entertainment, I like to have a person-centrerd approach and go the extra mile. For example, to keep the children entertained, I will do balloon modelling and at bigger events supply LED Foam lighting battons and neon glow sticks.
